What It Does
Single Page Scans
Audit any URL. Runs full WCAG 2.2 A/AA checks, custom link text rules, and broken link detection on the page - free on every plan, with no time limit.
WCAG 2.2 A/AA Checks
Runs axe-core on every page. Violations and best practices reported separately, with WCAG criterion links for each issue.
Link Text Checks
Flags ambiguous link text ("read more", "click here") and duplicate link text that leads to different destinations - two WCAG 2.4.4 patterns axe-core does not cover.
In-App Report Viewer
Browse results in the Reports tab immediately after every scan. No PDF, no file picker. Impact badges, WCAG references, and guide links built in.
Report Summary Page
Every report opens on an at-a-glance summary: issues by severity, how many pages are affected, the top issues, and expandable reports for ambiguous links, broken links, and large images.
Accessibility Overlay Detection
Detects third-party accessibility overlays (UserWay, accessiBe, Recite Me, ReachDeck) and names the vendor, with guidance on why overlays are not recommended. Informational, never counted as a violation.
Page Load Timeout
Set how long Vesper Audit waits per page before moving on. Increase it for slow-loading sites, decrease it to speed up large crawls.
Full Site Crawl
Crawls every internal page automatically from your starting URL. Follows links, checks external URLs and PDFs for broken links, and delivers a site-wide report.
Five Export Formats
PDF for clients, Markdown for docs, CSV for spreadsheets, Notion for teams. Every format from a single run - mix and match on each audit.
Report Filter
Narrow a scan to one rule category - Links, Images, Forms, Color & contrast, Page structure, or Keyboard & focus. Run a focused report, hand it to the right person, fix it, rescan.
Suppressions & Exclusions
Hide known false positives per rule. Skip URL patterns during crawls. Known CMS patterns are suppressed by default so reports reflect real issues, not platform noise.
Scan Profiles
Save named configurations per client. One click restores the URL, scan options, exclusions, and suppressions for that site - export and import as JSON.
Auditor Name & Report Settings
Add your name or agency to every exported report. Set a custom viewport width per scan. Omit the Vesper Audit attribution line when delivering client work.
Not Just a Spreadsheet

Most audit tools hand you a raw violation list and leave you to figure out what it means. Vesper Audit reports include plain-language descriptions for every violation, the WCAG criterion it maps to, and a direct link to the relevant Vesper Guide so you know exactly how to fix it.
Every report is fully styled - whether you're browsing results in the app, exporting to PDF, or syncing to Notion. The format that lands in front of your client or board looks like it was designed to communicate, not just dumped from a database.

Guide links surface directly in the viewer so you can go from "violation found" to "I know how to fix this" in one click. Historical scans are always available - just open the JSON results file from any previous audit.

CSV Supporter
Two files per audit: violations.csv lists every violation with rule ID, impact level, WCAG criterion, page URL, and affected element. summary.csv gives per-page counts. Import directly into Excel or Sheets.
Notion Supporter
Creates a full page hierarchy in your Notion workspace - Audit Report, PDFs Found, Broken Links, Audit Log, and Suppressed Errors as separate child pages. Syncs in the background so you can keep working.
