This page covers the privacy policies for both products in the Vesper accessibility suite. Neither product collects, transmits, or stores any personal data.
Overview
Vesper Inspect does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data.
Vesper Inspect is a Chrome Extension that inspects the accessibility attributes of elements on web pages you visit. All processing happens entirely within your browser.
Data Collection
Vesper Inspect collects none of the following:
- No personally identifiable information
- No browsing history
- No page content transmitted to any server
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
- No data sent to the developer or any third party
What the Extension Accesses
Vesper Inspect reads the following locally within your browser, solely to display it in the on-screen tooltip overlay:
- HTML element attributes on the page you are currently viewing, including ARIA labels, roles, alt text, title attributes, and tabindex values
- Computed styles on elements, used to display font size, weight, and family information
- The URL of images on the current page, used to look up file size from the browser's performance timeline or via a direct HEAD request to the same server serving the image
Nothing is stored beyond your current browser session.
Permissions
Third Parties
Vesper Inspect does not integrate with, report to, or share data with any third-party service, analytics platform, advertising network, or external server.
Overview
Vesper Audit does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Vesper Audit is a desktop application for macOS that crawls websites and generates accessibility audit reports. All auditing activity runs on your local machine using your installed copy of Chrome.
What Vesper Audit Accesses
Vesper Audit accesses the following:
- The pages of the website URL you choose to audit - to run accessibility checks and collect links
- Your saved settings (output folder, exclusion rules, scan options) stored in a local config file on your computer, never transmitted
- Notion's API - only if you choose to enable optional Notion export and provide your own integration token
Network Requests
Vesper Audit makes outbound network requests only to:
- The website you are auditing, to load pages and run accessibility checks
- External URLs found during the crawl - HTTP HEAD requests only, to verify whether links are reachable
- Notion's API, only if you have enabled Notion export and provided an integration token
No other outbound network requests are made. Vesper Audit does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
Local Data Storage
Vesper Audit stores the following on your local machine only:
- A config file containing your saved settings - never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
- PDF reports and JSON results files in your chosen output folder
Children
Neither Vesper Inspect nor Vesper Audit knowingly collects any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
